The Dance of Life, a title inspired by a painting by Edvard Munch, is a project centered on the female figure. In Munch’s painting, the three protagonists represent the different stages of a woman’s life—youth, maturity, and old age. Each figure has a distinct identity, reflected in the color of her dress, her posture, and her expression. The three symbolic colors—white, red, and black—visually mark these transitions. This project explores the conventions that have historically shaped the female figure and continue to do so today. The theme has been reinterpreted in a contemporary key and developed through three videos: Ti abbraccio non aver paura, Tu non mi comandi, La donna nera (currently in production), each closely related to the three colors chosen by Munch in his painting.
La Danza della Vita, titolo ispirato a un dipinto di Edvard Munch, è un progetto incentrato sulla figura femminile. Nel dipinto di Munch, le tre protagoniste rappresentano le diverse fasi della vita di una donna: giovinezza, maturità e vecchiaia. Ogni figura ha un’identità distinta, espressa attraverso il colore dell’abito, la postura e l’espressione. I tre colori simbolici—bianco, rosso e nero—marcano visivamente queste transizioni. Il progetto esplora le convenzioni che storicamente hanno plasmato la figura femminile e che continuano a farlo ancora oggi. Il tema è stato rielaborato in chiave contemporanea e sviluppato attraverso tre video: Ti abbraccio non aver paura, Tu non mi comandi, La donna nera (in fase di realizzazione), ognuno strettamente legato ai tre colori scelti da Munch nel suo dipinto.
