Legami Fragili is a traveling exhibition that began in April 2024 and has stopped in Bologna, Roma, Lodi (MI). Ala (TN), before reaching its final destination in Sicily. 
One of the fundamental conditions of society is the relationships between the individuals that make it up. Society is born precisely because people come together, giving up a bit of their freedom, because together they are stronger; where one cannot reach, the other can, where one cannot do, the other can. These relationships have always been considered “solid,” foundational ones; if they are not strong, society crumbles and we return to the starting point. Zygmunt Bauman was the theorist of this crumbling, which he called “dissolution.” The solid bonds of the past are now contrasted by liquid bonds, which the sociologist defines as “absorbent paper rafts” to immediately convey their precariousness. If we were castaways, would we face the elements on a raft made of absorbent paper? Consequently, contemporary humans no longer believe in building relationships that are already unstable and fleeting; this is why they are guided by rampant individualism, fighting for the defense of themselves, their own self.
 These are the considerations that form the basis of this project, which arises not from the interest of the curator or a gallery, but from the relationship between the curator, the artists, and the spaces that will host the project each time. The project will thus change shape, adapting to each specific context without altering its substance – that is, the strength of human relationships, the power to create communities, and spaces of sharing.

Legami fragili è una mostra itinerante iniziata in aprile 2024 che ha fatto tappa a Bologna, Roma, Lodi (MI), Ala (TN), prima di raggiungere la sua destinazione finale in Sicilia. Una delle condizioni fondamentali della società sono le relazioni tra gli individui che la compongono. La società nasce proprio perché gli uomini si mettono insieme, rinunciando a un po’ della loro libertà, perché insieme sono più forti, dove non arriva uno arriva l’altro, dove non può uno può l’altro. Queste relazioni sono sempre state considerate “solide” cioè fondanti, se non sono forti la società si sgretola e torniamo alla situazione di partenza. Zygmunt Bauman è stato il teorizzatore di questo sgretolamento da lui definito “scioglimento”. Ai legami solidi di un tempo si contrappongono oggi dei legami liquidi che il sociologo definisce “zattere di carta assorbente” per far capire subito la loro precarietà. Se fossimo un naufrago ci esporremmo alle intemperie con una zattera fatta di carta assorbente? Di conseguenza l’uomo contemporaneo non crede più nella costruzione di legami che nascono già instabili e fugaci ecco perché si lascia guidare da un individualismo sfrenato che lo fa lottare per la difesa di sé stesso, del proprio sé. Queste sono le considerazioni che stanno alla base di questo progetto che non nasce da un interesse del curatore o di una galleria, quanto piuttosto dalla relazione tra il curatore, gli artisti e gli spazi che di volta in volta ospiteranno il progetto che così cambierà forma adattandosi ad ogni specifico contesto senza però modificarne la sostanza, cioè la forza delle relazioni umane, la forza di creare comunità e spazi di condivisione.
